Be Exalted is an up-beat call to worship. An exhortation to praise and magnify our wonderful God. Every day, in every situation, he deserves our shouts of praise, our songs of joy and our undiluted worship. The lyrics recognise that he is worthy of everything we can always give, everything we can possibly surrender or sacrifice. He is worthy of it all. The lyrics to the bridge are taken from the traditional ending of the Lords prayer: Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the Power, Yours is the Glory, forever. It was written during a spontaneous time alone with the Lord. I was strumming my guitar and looking at songs of exhortation such as Psalm 57 that describe how worthy he is of our praise. I was reminded that there is always a reason to praise God and felt inspired to write a song that encourages people to gather together to praise him.
